Tanisha Crasto overpowered Nida Najeeb 21-13, 21-12 to win the under 16 title, at the multi-category 39th India Club UAE Open Badminton Tournament 2016, Sunday night.
Tanisha Crasto, a top player from the young talent base available in the UAE, overpowered Nida Najeeb 21-13, 21-12.
Rishita Rajith defeated Danica Ferrao 23-21, 21-10 to lift the girls under 10 crown. Danica gave Rishita a tough time in the first set but the fitter and faster Rishita went about her business in a brisk manner in the second, to wrap up the issue comfortably.
In the two semifinal matches played in the veterans singles above 45 category, evergreen Xavier Raphel beat Roby Varghese 21-14, 21-14 and Fahyani Rianto defeated James Varghese 21-11, 21-15.  
In the masters mixed doubles 40 event, Mohammed Moin Ahmed partnered Vivian Silva to douse Reji Thomas and Vidya Manghnani 23-21, 21-14.
