The last theme week of DSS gets under way

DUBAI — Organised by the Department of Economic Development (DED), the Back-2-School (B-2-S) Surprises week, which opened yesterday, will run until September 1, marking the end of the ninth edition of Dubai Summer Surprises.

It opened yesterday at Mall of the Emirates with a series of activities signalling the end of the summer vacation and the beginning of the new school season.

Activities have been slated at Ibn Battuta Mall, Reef Mall, Deira City Centre, Hamrain Centre, Mercato, Al Ghurair City, BurJuman, Al Bustan Centre, Bin Sougat Centre, Lamcy Plaza, Children's City and Modhesh Fun City. For the first time, DED's premises will be a venue for a number of activities.

The week is held in partnership with Abu Dhabi National Bank and Al Sayegh Brothers.

It is sponsored by Roads and Transport Authority, New Horizons Computer Learning Centres, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al Yousuf, Grand Stores, Dubai Commercial Bank, Al Rawabi, Mohammed Sharif and Brothers Stores, Acer as main sponsors and Khaleej Times as media partners while other sponsors are Arabian Automobiles Co, National Bank of Dubai, Damas, Al Nukhada Tailoring Group and Emirates Transport.
