Tropical Twist Smoothie

Serve: 2

Ingredients

  • 8 rambutan, peeled, stoned

  • 2 passion fruit

    ½ cup papaya chunks

  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

  • 1 ½ cups orange juice

  • 2 tbsp agave syrup

  • 5-6 black pepper

  • Orange segments for garnish, optional

METHOD

Scoop the pulp of the passion fruits into a blender and add the ramb-utan, papaya, black pepper and orange juice.

Purée until smooth and add agave syrup and parsley; blend again.

Serve in the glasses and top with some ice cubes and orange segments.

Drink immediately.

Summer Shine Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, frozen

  • 1 cup mango chunks, frozen

  • 1 cup pineapple slices, frozen

  • 1 ½ cup coconut water

• ¼ cup coriander leaves

  • 1 tsp spirulina

  • 1 tsp maca powder

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Method

Blend banana, pineapple chunks, mango chunks and coconut water in a blender till smooth.

Add coriander leaves, spirulina and maca, and blend till uniform.

Add limejuice, sea salt and maple syrup (if desired) and pour into a tall glass.

Garnish with lemon slices and serve.

Berry Happy Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, frozen

• ½ cup blueberry, frozen

  • 4 dates, pitted

  • 1 large apple, peeled and cubed

  • 2 tbsp basil leaves

  • 1 tsp bee pollen

  • 1 cup low fat yoghurt

    ½ cup almond milk

  • 1 tbsp stevia (optional)

  • 2 strawberries, for garnish

  • Basil leaves, for garnish

Method

Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.

Taste and add stevia if desired.

Garnish with strawberry and basil leaves, and serve.

Breeze of Beach Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup melon chunks

  • 1 cup watermelon chunks

  • 1 cup avocado, mashed

  • 1 cup green tea, cold •½tsp grated ginger •½tsp cacao

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Mint leaves, for garnish

Method

Add all the ingredients except limejuice and mint leaves in a blender and blend until smooth. If the consistency is too thick, add a little water.

Serve in tall glasses, after stirring in the lemon juice and garnishing with mint leaves.
