A video of Indian minister's Smriti Irani getting her slipper stitched by a cobbler is going viral. And it's for all the right reasons.
The cobbler asks for Rs10 to fix the Union Textile Minister's slippers, but she insists that he takes Rs100 instead and says, "Change venda (change not needed)."
The incident took place in Perur, around 16 km from the airport, while she was on her way to Isha Foundation. According to NDTV, "her slipper strap had snapped as she got down from a flight to address a session at Isha Foundation in Coimbatore."
At a time when Rs100 notes are in huge demand, this kind gesture by the minister is winning hearts across the internet.
