Three emerged winners from among 6,100 residents who joined a city wide treasure hunt launched in celebration of the life and legacy of Father of the Nation the late Sheikh Zayed.
Dubai Cares launched Scavenger Hunt, from January 8 to 29, asking participants to hunt for 15 art pieces hidden inside light bulb structures and placed across key locations in Dubai.
Dubai Cares officials revealed that over 7,400 people downloaded the Scavenger Hunt application on their smartphones and 106 participants were rewarded with prizes worth several thousands.
"Residents had to search for the light-bulb shaped structure and once discovered, with the help of three clues, participants scanned a QR code to confirm that they have found it, which was recorded on the Dubai Cares app," said Amal Al Redha, director of fundraising at Dubai Cares.
