A resident was arrested in Oman was arrested for firing shots at a wedding and injuring three people.
Three guests were injured at the Omani wedding in Al Sudairah, Sinaw. They were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment after the incident, Royal Oman Police confirmed in an online statement.
The police also seized the firearm used to fire the shots.
Commenting on the incident, the Police tweeted:

"The information spreading on social media about a shooting incident at a wedding ceremony in Sinaw district in Al Sudairah town, confirmed by ROP.
"The incident resulted in the injury of three people with moderate injuries who were taken to Sinaw Hospital for treatment. The wedding was held yesterday (Wednesday) evening. The case is still under investigation.

"The person who fired the gun was arrested and the weapon was taken away," an official from ROP added.

Use of firearms is prohibited in Oman during celebrations or otherwise, Times of Oman reported.
