Three sisters fall from moving car

According to an official source at the RAK Civil Defence Department, the mishap occurred on Friday afternoon. The Central Operations Room was alerted about the accident at 3pm.

“The three sisters, identified as A.A., M.A., and 32-year old S.A., received minor injuries, and were shifted to a hospital for treatment,” he said. “The incident was attributed to the driver’s failure to ensure that the back doors were safely closed. The kid sisters accidentally opened the doors fell off, followed by the elder sister. All three were wounded.”

In another incident, a car driven by a Emirati youth fell in a 5-metre-deep manhole in Dafan Al Muairidh area recently. He managed to get out of the car through one of its open windows.

Radars installed

Meanwhile, the RAK Traffic Police recently installed three portable radars, one each on the Khazam, Al Garm and Airport roads, to curb speeding by motorists in a bid to reduce accidents.
