13 children, including a three-month-old baby, and six women were among the dead
The police operation room received a call about the accident and immediately dispatched a team of patrol officers and traffic experts along with an ambulance and units from the Civil Defence Department.
The team found the three men already dead and transferred their bodies to the morgue and rushed the injured man to the emergency room.
According to the traffic report, the Emirati man and his two Arab colleagues were driving a Jaguar on an internal road and entered the main road from an unauthorized area, colliding with a Nissan Patrol driven by another Emirati man. Because of the strong impact, the car turned over several times.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Ahmed bin Darwish, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Department, urged motorists to follow the rules and refrain from using unauthorized areas.
