The entry and exit points for school buses near children’s houses and at schools will be be monitored by traffic police who will ensure safety. Lt Col Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem Al Kaabi, Acting Director-General of the Fujairah Police, congratulated parents and students on the advent of the new academic year.
A number of lectures will be delivered for bus drivers to increase their road safety awareness.
Police officials will also address students to educate them about traffic safety, and warn them against dangers of driving without a licence, crowding in front of schools, and other traffic hazards.
Al Kaabi called upon parents and drivers to cooperate with traffic policemen to help avoid traffic jams in front of schools.
He expressed the hope that the new academic year will be free of traffic accidents.
