Truck catches fire in Ajman, no casualties

Ajman - Drivers urged to take preventive safety measures to ensure the safety of their vehicles.

A truck caught fire in the industrial area in Ajman on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Ajman Civil Defence, no casualties were recorded.
Lt.-Col. Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, deputy director of civil defence, said the fire was reported at 12.15pm. Firefighters reached the site in under five minutes and doused the blaze. The fire gutted the truck and caused damages to another truck parked next to it.
After the fire was extinguished, the site was handed over to the police for further investigation.

Al Zaabi urged drivers to take preventive safety measures to ensure the safety of their vehicles. He called for regular maintenance of vehicles, especially during the summer period when temperatures rise.
