Pakistani boxer Amir Khan has stirred up yet another controversy and this time it is for his sexist remarks. Khan is being slammed for a remark he made during a recent interview with BBC Asian Network and stated that 'In my culture it's a woman's job to do the cooking', as reported by News Pakistan.
Khan, who is currently starring in a reality show called "I'm a Celebrity. Get me Out of Here!", goes on to say in the interview that once he comes home from work, it is his wife's job to do the cooking for him.
"I would never cook. In my culture, women, that's their job to do the cooking. They're best at cooking," said Khan addressing another man with him on the show who cooked for his wife whenever she was at work.
The sexist comments did not halt here for Khan who went on arguing with the man during the interview justifying why men should not do household chores.
Khan argued saying, "It's a man's job to actually do other jobs like the hard work, the hard labour jobs around the house."
However, the man countered and said, "Doing housework is harder. I would not get as tired on my job as I do when I work at home. Until you don't do it for yourself, you won't realise how hard that is."
But Khan seemed to have decided not to give in and went on to say, "I've got a dishwasher, washing machine, I've never actually known how to use these things. I would never touch those machinery, ever. You would turn into a woman if I started dishwashing. I'm a man."
Twitter has since been bashing Khan for his remarks and criticising him for looking down upon women.
