BUCHAREST — An exhibition highlighting the culture and heritage of the UAE opened in the Romanian capital of Bucharest.
The opening ceremony was held in the presence of the Romania’s Minister of Culture and National Patrimony, Hunor Kelemen, and the UAE ambassador to Romania, Yaqob Yusuf Al Housni. Former Romanian President Dr Emil Constantinescu, Arab and foreign ambassadors in Bucharest and a number of state officials also attended the ceremony.
The exhibition showcases paintings and traditional handicrafts that reflect the history and heritage of the UAE and highlights the tourist attractions in the country.
It also houses a heritage tent that shows the lives of people of the desert. Documentaries produced in the Romanian language are being shown at the exhibition, thus shedding light on the past and the present of the UAE. —
