The UAE official Hajj Mission took yesterday delivery of camps from contractors after completion of the rehabilitation, maintenance and development of residential and health facilities and services in Mina campsite.
Hamad Obeid al Zaabi, the Vice Chairman of Hajj Mission, said that these camps will be delivered to the Hajj operators tomorrow, pointing out that the capacity of the camp in Mina is more than 6 thousand pilgrims.
These camps are fire-resistant and equipped with kitchens and eateries, lavatories and storage requirements of pilgrims during their stay. This year the number of restrooms in the camps has been increased to 350 to provide more comfort to the pilgrims.
He added that maintenance work in the kitchens, air-conditioners have been done and there is arrangement to ensure non-stop power supply.
Kerosene and other related materials have been provided in the kitchen and safety measures are in place with secure entrances and exits of the camp and guiding plates.
