UAE Red Crescent distributes clothes in Pakistan cities

The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has distributed a further 11,500 pieces of clothing to underprivileged children in Pakistan in coordination with the UAE Embassy.

Orphan centres in Islamabad, which include displaced children from troubled areas in northwest Pakistan, received the clothes which was distributed to 5,000 children under the supervision of the Director of the Office of the Red Crescent, and in the presence of the supervisors of the centres.

The clothes were also distributed to 5,000 other orphans and homeless children in the city of Kohat, and a further 1,500 pieces of clothing were donated to students with disabilities sponsored by the Hassan Humanitarian Academy in it is three branches in Rawalpindi, Adiala and Islamabad and the Centre for the Army Disabled.

Director of the UAE RCA office in Islamabad, Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, said work was organised in coordination with the UAE Embassy to secure the delivery of clothing through direct supervision.

Ahmed Hassan, Academic Director, thanked the UAE leadership and its people for their interest in providing humanitarian aid to the people of Pakistan under all circumstances through its charities and philanthropists, praising the efforts of workers in the office of the UAE Red Crescent.
