Motorists faced significant delays during the rush hour commute on Thursday morning with multiple accidents reported in Dubai and traffic snarls in Sharjah.
Dubai Police have issued a statement on Twitter, advising drivers to stay cautious after an accident reported on Al Rebbat Road from Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Business Bay Crossing. They advised motorists to take alternative routes to avoid delays.

The police reported another accident on Mohammed bin Zayed Road opposite of Global Village towards Abu Dhabi, and advised motorists to be extra cautious.
In another tweet, the police advised drivers to stay cautious after an accident on Mohammed bin Zayed Road opposite of Qusais Graveyard towards Abu Dhabi.
Traffic build-up was reported near Jumeirah Village Circle, Al Barsha, Al Quoz 1, Ras Al Khor Industrial Area and on Shaikh Zayed Road heading towards Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club - Abu Dhabi.
 
According to Google Maps data, heavy congestion can be seen on E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial area towards Muhaisnah in Dubai and motorists are experiencing extremely slow moving traffic.

Slow moving traffic was also reported on the E11 route - from Sharjah to Dubai - particularly in Al Nahda, leading up to Hor Al Anz East.
