UAQ police probe death of Indian

UMM AL QUWAIN — Umm Al Quwain Police are investigating the death of an Indian in what is suspected to be a suicide case.

Prem Lal Harpalas, 27, was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom in the labour camp in the industrial area on October 12. He was employed with a contracting company.

A watchman at the labour camp had informed the Al Salama police station about the incident after finding Harpalas hanging from the ceiling.

The police have questioned the Indian workers’ friends and others staying in the labour camp in connection with their investigation. Harpalas was said to have been under some stress.
