Unicef and exchange centre ink charity deal

In the spirit of charity, UAE Exchange, a foreign exchange and money transfer brand, has tied up with Unicef (United Nations International Children’s Fund) and donated Dh1,00,000 to help children around the world. This is the fourth consecutive association of the UAE Exchange and the UN body.

The remittance major regularly ties up with various NGOs to stand up for various social, humanitarian and environmental causes.

Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, COO Global Operations, UAE Exchange, said: “UAE Exchange has always stood for causes that impacted the betterment of the society. Here too, we take pride in associating with Unicef for this noble cause of bringing more smiles to the future generation.”

Dr Ibrahim El Ziq, Unicef Gulf Area Representative said: “We are grateful for the continued support of our partner, UAE Exchange over the last four years. By working with UAE Exchange and other partners, we are able to reach more children and help them survive and thrive. We look forward to a continued strong relationship that would benefit more children over the coming years.”

The event for handing over the cheque was attended by senior officials of UAE Exchange, Unicef and special invitees.

Together with its partners, it works in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of children everywhere.
