Twenty delegates from postal administrations of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt, Yemen, Mauritania, Tunisia, Algeria, Syria, Palestine, Iraq and Libya took part in the workshop which was conducted by Lahcene Chouiter, Regional Programme/HR Development and Training Manager, UPU, and Dr Yamna Bel Hassan, from International Bureau, UPU.
This is the second time that Emirates Post hosted a UPU-sponsored workshop, consolidating Emirates Post's position as an internationally-accredited Trainpost training centre and the region's leading provider of postal training with state-of-the-art facilities and ideal training environment.
"This workshop consolidates Emirates Post's position as a world-class postal training provider through the development of contemporary regulations and management practices and diversified products, designed to meet global and domestic challenges and changes. Emirates Post is following a growth strategy that is guided by developments in the economic, digital and knowledge fields," said Abdullah Al Daboos, Director-General of Emirates Post.
Dr Hassan, from UPU's International Bureau, said Emirates Post's Training and Development Centre occupies a unique regional position for its many achievements in training, development, performance management and technological advances. He lauded the optimal working conditions, contemporary training methodologies and teamwork at the centre.
