ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department is preparing to hold a public auction to sell 63 vehicles confiscated in the investment fraud case known as ‘Qablan Case’. The auction is to be held at Baniyas Club before the end of this month.
The Judicial Department, revealing the latest developments in the trial of the prime suspect A.A. Qablan, stated that the total cash collected and deposited to the account of the primary committees had reached more than Dh95 million, apart from the other amounts deposited through cheques, and the properties confiscated from the two prime suspects. The money will be utilised for the benefit of victims.
The Investigation Department of Abu Dhabi Police is currently collecting information from the victims for payment of compensation.
The accused had allegedly embezzled more than Dh400 million deposited with him by 2,500 Emaratis and expatriates for investment.
