A hearing in the case was scheduled for Tuesday during which the police officer who arrested Michelle Palmer and Vince Acors from Jumeirah Open Beach on July 5 was supposed to testify.
The hearing did not take place but court officials refused to give the reason.
However, court sources said that the verdict would be pronounced on October 16.
Michelle Palmer and Vince Acors had earlier requested the court to complete the proceedings as soon as possible.
On September 9, the court had adjourned the hearing as both the police officer and Michelle Palmer failed to show up.
Palmer, 37, a former executive of a publishing company, and Acors, 34, a visitor, are accused of having illicit sex on a public beach.
