A reckless man was mauled to death in Odisha's Nabarangpur district after his bid to get a selfie with a wounded bear went wrong.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning when Prabu Bhatara, was returning in an SUV and stopped to attend nature's call.
On spotting a wounded bear, he decided to click a selfie with the wild animal. Bhatara came dangerously close to the bear which chased him and mauled him to death, according to a report in the Hindustan Times.
The forest officials recovered his body late Wednesday night after tranquilizing the bear. A video of the incident, shot by his fellow passengers, has gone viral.
They were busy shooting the incident rather than helping the stuck driver. The bear is currently being treated for its injuries.
