A video shot by a ninth grade student of a government school in Telangana, India, shows a teacher getting a head massage during school hours. The video is drawing flak on social media for showing the grim state of the schools run by the Telangana government.
As per the reports, Parvathi, the Physics teacher at Narmetta Model Government School, got a head massage with oil as she allegedly had a headache. She also got her hair braided by the girl student, which can be seen in the video.
According to an India Today report, the teacher is allegedly a habitual 'offender' which led a few students to record the act on their mobiles. The students then circulated the video online and requested the local administration to take appropriate action. After the video went viral, the District Education Officer has assured an investigation into the matter.
