There can't be a better treat for the worshippers at the Holy Kaaba than a sudden downpour during peak summers.
Every year, millions of pilgrims from across the world perform Haj and Umrah under the scorching heat. It is not unusual for them to suffer burns and dehydration.
But sudden rainfall in parts of Saudi Arabia was the most pleasant surprise for the worshippers. Amid the heavy rains devotees could be seen worshipping on the wet grounds around the Holy Kaaba.
Images were posted on the social media with hastag #Mecca_Now showing the rain drenched Kaaba and worshippers.
Nothing looks like rain in #mecca and praying at the same time its amazing"Chances of precipitation of medium to heavy rainfall with active surface winds will continue to limit the horizontal visibility of highlands in Narjan, Jazan, Asir,Baha and Makkah,"Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental protection said on a statement on their website according to Al Arabiya.
