Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who was to walk the ramp for designer Gaurang Shah in Dubai on Saturday, September 17, has had to pull out of the event due to illness.
"I regret that I will not be able to attend Gaurang's events in Dubai and Hyderabad as I am down with dengue," Balan said in a statement. "I was looking forward to being there and will miss meeting all you handloom lovers..."
The actress was expected to showcase Gaurang Shah's designs at Shringar, a ramp show and exhibition of festive saris and wedding ensembles at The Taj Dubai.
The show, however, will go on according to organisers with India's top 10 models walking the ramp in a set choreographed by Lubna Adams
