Four labour cabins and a car were gutted in a major fire in Dubai's Al Soufoh area along Sheikh Zayed Road on Saturday.
Dubai Civil Defence immediately reached the site of the fire that broke out around 11:47am near Fraser Suites in Media City and behind Design House Building.
Firefighting teams from Al Qouz and Al Barsha took part in the operation. They evicted the location and prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring building in the area.
Although firefighters immediately arrived at the site of the fire, strong winds prevented them from putting out the blaze faster.
The fire has not spread to nearby buildings.

Firefighters contained the blaze by 2:22 pm.
Mahmood Hamed, Civil Defence spokesperson, told Khaleej Times that nobody was injured in the fire.
According to reports, the onsite temporary engineering office - of Al Reem Real Estate Development and Acacia Avenues - were among the gutted cabins.
The police cordoned off the area and closed the road between Pearl residence and Fraser Suites.
Heavy plume of black smoke filled up the sky as firefighters battled the blaze.
The site will be handed over to forensic experts - after the cooling operation - to determine the cause of the fire.
The firm is working on the construction of a 22-floor hotel apartment in the area.
Traffic, on both directions, was unaffected.
"Smoke is still going around and they're still blocking the road between Pearl Residence and Frasier Suites. The entire area still smells like smoke," said a nearly resident, who declined to give her name, had earlier said.
Residents also took to Twitter to post pictures of the fire.
