A two-year-old boy, Anshu, suffered head and face injuries after he was flung down the stairs by his own mother.
The mother, Sonu Gupta, who was allegedly fighting with her in-laws, picked up her sleeping son and threw him down the stairs.
The incident, which took place in Delhi, has been caught on CCTV.
According to NDTV, Sonu has been charged with attempt to murder after a complaint was lodged by her husband Nitin.
The CCTV footage shows Sonu screaming and fighting with her in-laws. She picks up her child from the bed before throwing him down the stairs. The other members of the family rush down for the child.

"We were talking and she started fighting over property. While she was shouting, she pulled the child and said that I will kill him and frame all of you. She threw the child from the second floor to the first floor," Sonu Gupta's mother-in-law was quoted saying by NDTV.
She alleged that Sonu would also hit her. "I got the CCTV installed so I could get proof of her atrocities," she added.
