The woman who committed suicide in JBR on Tuesday night by jumping out of her apartment had tried to kill herself earlier as well, her husband told the police.
He reportedly told the police that she suffered from mental disorders and physical disability.
According to reports, the handicapped woman, M.S. said to be of an East European origin, jumped from the balcony of her flat in JBR where she lived with her daughter and husband.
A special police team found the body lying in a pool of blood. She died on the spot as a result of her head hitting the edge of the terrace. A source from the police pointed out that the woman was alone in the apartment when the incident took place.
The police also found the door locked from inside.
Forensic experts collected evidence from the scene and questioned the daughter and father who confirmed that the wife had threatened to commit suicide many times.
The source confirmed that the CID and forensic experts found no foul play and it has been recorded as a suicide case.
The case has been referred to the public prosecution.
According to the source, an eye witness called the operations room of Dubai Police on Tuesday afternoon to inform the police that he had seen a woman jumping from the window of one of the buildings in JBR.
