An Asian woman allegedly jumped to her death from the 16th floor of a residential building after stabbing her husband, said police.
According to Colonel Yousuf Al Odaidi, Director of Al Barsha police station, initial investigations showed that the woman committed suicide after a quarrel with her husband on Thursday.
The official said the police received information about the death of a woman who jumped from a building in Al Marina area. A police team including ambulance and patrols reached the site to see the woman dead.
She was living with her husband on the 16th floor of the building. She had a heated argument with her husband and stabbed him several times, the police investigation revealed. After the attack, she jumped off the building and died on the spot.
In a separate accident, a woman was seriously injured after a motorcycle hit her while crossing the road in Dubai Teecom. Col. Al Obaidi said the European woman crossed the road on an undesignated place while walking her dog. The motorcycle ridden by an Asian man hit the woman, he said, adding that the police rushed to the site after receiving information and shifted her to the hospital immediately.
