The Association of UAE Women Police has launched a donation campaign in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority to raise funds and collect relief goods for Syrian refugees.

Major Amna Mohammed Khamis Al Balushi, head of the UAE Women Police, who is also the Regional Director of the Middle East Women Police, said the association is collecting all kinds of necessary relief goods for the refugees. She said the collections also include copies of the Holy Quran, clothing, prayer mats and foodstuff.

Al Balushi said: “This campaign at the national level coincides with the holy month of Ramadan to help Syrian refugees in the UAE relief camp in Jordan. The campaign shows the spirit of concern and generosity of the United Arab Emirates to help others.” A delegation from the association has already visited the relief camps to learn about the immediate requirements of the refugees.
