A woman and her three daughters, including an infant, were found dead at their house in Mauranva village in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.

Sarita (40), Monica (21), Mahima (14) and infant Aastha were found dead when the door of their house was broken open after neighbours complained of unbearable stench.

Police said the cause of their death was yet to be ascertained. No injury marks were found on the bodies. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

A forensic team had collected samples from the spot, Unnao Superintendent of Police Neha Pandey said.

The woman's husband Manoj works in Kuwait.
