Adding a more human touch to the Friendship Day, Dubai-based businessman surprised hundreds of workers with gifts that would help them socialise during leisure time.
Inder Bhagnani, the director of Dubai-based RK Property, who launched "Feed a labour" campaign, presented the workers with carrom boards, cricket and badminton sets.
Since the inception of Feed a labour campaign, a group of volunteers donate food and beverages to the toiling labourers, every Saturday.

Know the campaign
"Feed a labour" campaign is a charity food donation campaign, that has been founded by businessman Inder Bhagnani, director of RK Property.
Currently it feeds approximately more than 1,000 workers every Saturday and is held at different locations throughout the UAE.
This humanitarian campaign is supported by different volunteers, coming from different walks of life and living in UAE.
They come together in different venues in varied numbers, every Saturday to contribute their bit and help bring a smile on the faces of the hard working labourers.
The campaign, which completed 111 weeks on Saturday (August 6), was held at 3 different locations in Dubai - at two locations in Bur Dubai and one in Business Bay.
About 500 workers were present at the Business bay event, while 625 attended the Bur Dubai campaign.
This Saturday, approximately 500 attended the campaign, which was on it's 111th week.
The labourers managed to squeeze in some time to play, before their work shift started and after the food donation was over.
Speaking about the novel thought, Bhagnani said: "I thought these surprise gifts should help them share the spirit of friendship as Friendship day is near. Moreover, we have been donating food and beverages every week."
The workers, who were excited to get the gift sets, said they usually spent their leisure time from tuning into a radio station to talking to their loved ones or even playing games on their mobile phones.
So there wasn't any activity that was of a truly social nature that would help them spend good time with each other enjoying as friends. They hope the gifts they received on Saturday, would fill this void and help them make use of their leisure time.
If you would like to volunteer for the 'Feed a labour' campaign, you can join their Facebook group and become an active contributor to the ongoing charity campaign.
