The complainants said that they have been working illegally for nine years with expired labour cards. The workers, who came from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi where they obtained their labour cards earlier, said that they have not received salaries for the last three months. Subsequently, they requested to be paid their legal dues beside the fines resulting from the delay in renewing labour cards to be able to leave the country.

A legal researcher stated that the ministry was going to consider the complaint within the coming three days, adding that the ministry would contact the officials of the establishment to identify the reasons behind the complaint.
