Wear your attitude in style. Show it with denim jeans.
Style statements come and go, but the humble denim jeans is here to stay in the rage race. It has survived numerous fashion fads over the years and still not lost its relevance, thanks to its constant evolution. From bellbottoms to skinny, to being ripped and colour washed, it has seen it all.
After the Balenciaga bag, Nordstrom's line of "mud stained" jeans became the most discussed fashion thread recently.
Buy this 'Ikea' bag for Dh8,000
"Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans", as they are called, come with some sort of fake mud substance caked all over them and the 'dirt' cannot be washed off as it is not actual dirt!
Priced at $425 (Dh1,561), the jeans will cost you Dh1,961 in Dubai, if ordered from their website. As Nordstrom doesn't have an outlet in the United Arab Emirates, the standard shipping would cost you Dh128 and duties involved would be Dh153, making the cost of the jeans to approximately Dh2,000.
The jeans obviously stirred up debates on social media. Their official website was flooded with comments like "These are great! Now that I'm unemployed I can still look employed with minimal effort."
"Are you intending to poke fun at working-class folks?" another comment read.
Not long ago, the brand was in news for launching Clear knee mom jeans - jeans with a patch of plastic on the knees and was ridiculed by users.
So, would you bite into this trend and buy these muddy jeans?
