The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has determined Dh15 against a bag of 3kg rice, as the required amount for Zakat Al Fitr of this Ramadan 1433/2012.

The fasting meal has also been set at Dh15 whereas the Eid Al Fitr clothing has also been specified at Dh40 or above at the third annual meeting at the department’s headquarters in Al Mamzar area.

Headed by Ali Khalfan Al Mansuri, head of the charitable institutions section at the charity sector in the department, the meeting saw representatives from the charitable societies licensed in Dubai, and spotlighted an array of seasonal projects for the year 2012.

“The meeting is to help coordinate between the department and charitable societies in the emirate in terms of all the issues related to the strategic plan of the department.
