Ford Fusion wins Saudi Auto’s car of the year award

The all-new Fusion offers an unprecedented portfolio of driver assistance and convenience technologies.

Dubai - The all-new Ford Fusion added yet another proof point to its growing popularity in the Middle East as it clinched Saudi Auto’s 2014 Car of the Year Award, a further vote of confidence from motoring experts in the region.

The 2014 Ford Fusion received top marks across the board, beating all other model entries in areas such as: general design, comfort, safety, fuel economy, handling and road worthiness, performance, functionality, innovations, driver satisfaction, price and overall value for money.

Ford’s history in the Middle East goes back more than 60 years. The company’s local importer-dealers operate more than 155 facilities in the region and directly employ more than 7,000 people, the majority of whom are Arab Nationals.

The award from Saudi Auto adds to a long list of international accolades received by the new Ford Fusion since its introduction in 2012, including Most Significant Production Car at 2012 NAIAS, Best of NAIAS 2012, Best of 2012 CES Car Tech Award, 2012 and 2013 Best Midsize Car for the Money by US News and World Reports, as well as Kelly Blue Book’s 10 Best Family Cars in 2013.
