Air Austral orders 2 840-seat Airbus A380s
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Air Austral has ordered two ‘high density’ Airbus A380s with 840 seats each.
The deal was signed at the Dubai Airshow on Tuesday.
Austral’s order is the third for the European plane maker at the Dubai Airshow, which is Middle East’s biggest aviation fair.
On Monday, Airbus’ U.S. rival Boeing Co. signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi’s state investment vehicle to help the Emirates build an aerospace industry.
However, Boeing has yet to score a plane order in Dubai.
