Officially launched at EBACE, Geneva, and made up of six licensed technical experts operating under Bombardier maintenance approval, MRT can now respond to Aircraft on Ground, or AOG, situations across the Middle East and has already supported customers in Qatar and Jordan.
In addition to expanding its geographical reach, the MRT has also added capability for the Learjet 60 aircraft to its existing line maintenance support for Global and Challenger business aircraft. Capability for other Learjet aircraft models is expected to follow next year.
“Since the MRT’s launch in May, we have seen very positive interest from customers, which has led us to expand our capabilities,” said Andy Nureddin, vice president, Customer Services and Support, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Extending our services in the Middle East will further enhance our response rate and minimise downtime for our growing international customer base,” added Nureddin.
The MRT’s expanded service in the Middle East will complement Bombardier’s established service network in the region, which includes a Bombardier parts depot and an Authorized Service Facility operated by Execujet.
The world’s leading business aircraft manufacturer, which is showcasing its business aircraft portfolio at the Dubai Airshow, also announced that Comlux Management AG signed a firm order for a Challenger 605 jet.
Fly Comlux, the VIP charter division of Comlux, currently operates a modern fleet featuring a total of eleven Bombardier business aircraft – including three Challenger 605, two Challenger 850, two Global 5000, two Global Express and two Global Express XRS jets.
“Comlux successfully began six years ago with the Challenger 604 jet. Today, the addition of a new Challenger 605 aircraft to our fleet supports our main objective of always operating brand new aircraft, offering the best value for money to our VIP clients,” said Stephen Laven, CEO, Fly Comlux. “The aircraft will be operated from our facility in Kazakhstan. From Central Asia, it will be ideally placed to serve the European destinations and the growing charter market in Asia.”
