Under the theme “40 and Beyond,” the DWC chalet will remind visitors of the country’s signal accomplishments, including in the aviation sector, as the UAE prepares to celebrate its 40th National Day on December 2, 2011.
Senior management of DWC will be present at the chalet to highlight the importance of this integrated airport city, which is a strategic initiative of the government of Dubai, to supporting the long-term growth of the emirate as the aviation, trade and logistics hub for the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region and beyond.
“Now in its 22nd year, the Dubai Airshow is firmly established as one the most important events in the global aviation calendar, underscoring the importance of the sector to this strategically located hub city, which is able to serve a population of 2 billion within a four-hour flight,” said Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation.
“Providing businesses with an integrated growth platform, with aviation at its core, Dubai World Central represents the future of the sector, and serves as a pillar of emirate’s ongoing economic growth and diversification, including by attracting world-class companies from across the aviation, trade and logistics sectors,” Al Zaffin said. “We look forward to highlighting our existing aviation infrastructure and upcoming developments during the Dubai Airshow 2011.”
“The Dubai Airshow – which attracted more than 50,000 trade visitors from across the world in 2009 – represents a key opportunity for us to showcase to potential partners the benefits of operating from Dubai World Central,” said Rashed Buqara’a, Chief Operating Officer, Dubai Aviation City Corporation. “Already, more than 120 local, regional and international firms have commenced operations at Dubai World Central – and another 40 have signed commitments to establish a presence at the region’s only airport city.
