Dubai-based airline Emirates is giving away one million Skywards Miles, all for a good cause.

In a promotional email sent out to frequent flyers, the airline asks patrons to enter their Thanks a Million charity prize draw for just Dh20, with the million miles being offered as the grand prize for one lucky winner.

To put things into perspective, a million miles will be enough to fly "Economy Class 22 times from Dubai to Europe, 19 times to the Far East or 13 times to the US or Australia", the airline said.

The two runner-up prizes of 500,000 and 250,000 miles have also been announced.

"We'll donate all the money we raise to the Emirates Airline Foundation. Enter now for your chance to explore the world and improve the lives of children in need," the airline concluded.
