Lufthansa Technik in 2nd Boeing deal
DUBAI - Lufthansa Technik has signed a second completion contract for a Boeing 747-8. A signing with an undisclosed customer took place at the Dubai Airshow.
The completion will start in 2012. It is also in talks with further interested parties for completions of the same type of aircraft. Meanwhile, CFM International, the jointly-owned jet engine manufacturing unit of France’s Safran SA and General Electric Co, also announced at the show a $60 million order for Lufthansa’s CFM56-5B engines to power four new Airbus A320 aircraft.
