The first phase of the product development is already underway and is a pilot scheme to connect RAK City Centre (Nakheel) to RAK Airport. The service is targeted at airport staff as well as travellers who could use the more economical option to come to the airport.

“The RAK Transport Authority is a key strategic partner in ensuring the development of a good surface access network and connections across the Emirate and we are delighted to be working in collaboration with them,” RAK International Airport director Andrew Gower said.

“Rakta will work hand in hand with RAK International Airport to provide state-of-the-art transportation services,” Rakta managing director Jason Farhat said.
