Strata selects Dassault solutions for support
DUBAI - Strata, Mubadala Aerospace’s advanced composite aerostructures manufacturing plant in Al Ain, on Tuesday announced that it has selected Dassault Systèmes, a provider of in 3D and product lifecycle management, or PLM, solutions, and its UAE partner, Abu Dhabi-based Dasbat Aviation, to deploy its PLM solutions with the objective to accelerate the introduction of new products, lower development costs, and reduce time to certification.
Dassault’s solutions include CATIA for virtual design, DELMIA for digital manufacturing and ENOVIA for collaborative innovation. Strata is unifying its engineering processes by standardiing its solutions around CATIA and ENOVIA, as a single environment to improve real-time collaborative engineering. With DELMIA, Strata will be able to validate manufacturing processes before application is applied to identify potential issues early. Dassault solutions will initially be utilised for manufacturing applications used at Strata. It is anticipated that future applications will focus on using Dassault composite design solutions.
