Two years ago, at the previous Dubai Airshow, TPI unveiled its plans to enter into the aerospace industry by signing a major contract with Airbus to manufacture metallic components for Airbus’ best-selling single aisle and long range aircraft. Since then, phase one of the plan has been achieved with the successful opening of its aerospace machining facility, more than doubling the existing area.
“This aerospace facility is the first brick in building a robust and comprehensive Aerospace industry in Abu Dhabi. TPI is proud to contribute to the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision in creating a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing industry,” said Muaatasem Awda, TPI Chief Executive Officer.
TPI’s vision is to develop itself as a leader in the metallic aerostructures manufacturing, based on the commitment to provide a real competitive advantage to its customers through an outstanding level of quality and reliability.
This first phase of TPI plan represents an investment in cutting edge technology worth more than US$25 million.
