While most of us can only dream of  living in this luxury suite, UAE-based airline Etihad airways has taken it a few 'miles' higher up on the air. The world's most expensive plane ticket is a seat in Etihad's luxury three-room suite on a flight from New York to Mumbai.
It will cost you a whopping $38,000 each way-- the whole year's salary for many, and a month's for few. If you want a return flight in the exclusive cabin (with stopovers in Abu Dhabi), then be ready to put down a few gold bricks for it. It would cost a staggering $76,000. The same experience on the Abu Dhabi - Mumbai route will cost $5,000 and the London-Mumbai route will cost $26,000.
The swanky cabin, which is designed for two people, is available only on Etihad's fleet of Airbus A380-800 aircraft. The planes have seats for nearly 500 passengers, including 415 in economy. They have been used on the New York-Abu Dhabi route since December and the Abu Dhabi-Mumbai service is the latest addition.
"With a living room, separate bedroom and ensuite shower room, it is the only three-room suite on a commercial airline, designed for two people travelling together," the airline stated.
The flight from New York's JFK International Airport to Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with a stopover in Abu Dhabi will take about 19 to 21 hours.

 Living Room
The living room has a luxurious leather double-seat sofa and two dining tables. Enjoy a meal for two, or watch your 32-inch flat-screen TV through noise-cancelling headsets, as you dine.

Bedroom
The hallway leads to a bedroom with a 6-foot 10-inch double bed, with designer Italian bed linen. Get comfortable and watch a movie on your 27-inch flat-screen TV with noise-cancelling headsets or enjoy breakfast in bed among the clouds.

Ensuite shower room
Before landing, freshen up in your ensuite shower room with full-height shower, luxury amenities and bathrobes. A vanity unit with magnifying make-up mirror and hairdryer lets you complete your preparation for arrival.

You will also have an inflight chef who can prepare a personalised dining experience for you and a butler who can help you with tailored and ironed clothes. Additional services include a luxury chauffeur to private check-in and lounge, booking your favourite restaurant on arrival or arranging tickets for a special event.
