Deposit cheques with just a click through the Emirates NBD app

The bank launched a Mobile Cheque Deposit facility for its private and priority banking customers to deposit a cheque (issued by Emirates NBD) via its mobile banking app.

Dubai — Emirates NBD on Wednesday launched major initiatives to promote its digital banking services in line with growing popularity of mobile banking in the country,

The Middle East’s leading bank, which is keen to double its mobile banking share from 18 per cent to 36 per cent in next 18 months, introduced a set of first-to-market digital banking services in the region through its new mobile banking app. The bank launched a Mobile Cheque Deposit facility for its private and priority banking customers to deposit a cheque [issued by Emirates NBD] via its mobile banking app. It is first time this service is introduced outside the United States and Europe and available in the Middle East, Asia and Africa through the Emirates NBD banking app.

In addition, the bank has also introduced the ‘Mobile Queuing Ticket’ service, a functionality that enables all the bank’s customers to obtain a queuing ticket for their branch transactions via the mobile app, even before reaching a branch, thus reducing the waiting time at the branch.

The new Emirates NBD mobile banking app is available for free on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
