Amitabh Bachchan to miss film festival

Amitabh Bachchan will not attend The Luxor African Film Festival in Egypt. He was expected to be there on March 21 and 22. The reason for his absence is the illness of Aishwarya Rai's father Krishnaraj Rai. Bachchan was to be honoured during the closing ceremony of the sixth edition of the film festival.
Amitabh Bachchan is hugely popular in Africa and has been an idol to film aficionados there for the last four decades.
