Bipasha Basu, who has done a string of horror and supernatural films, is happy with the tag of “horror queen” as long as audiences watch her films and get entertained.

“I think I have done 60 films and almost equal number in horror genre but of late I have done lot of supernatural and horror films. There was no plan that I wanted to be a horror queen. It’s fine if you call me horror queen,” Bipasha, who has been part of films like Raaz, Aatma and Creature 3D, said.

“I am good with it as long as you watch my films and get entertained,” she added.

When asked if she isn’t afraid of getting typecast, she said: “This business is about typecast. You guys and everybody wants to typecast. When you talk about the biggest actors like Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar... everybody seems to be doing their same kind of film. So everyone is typecast.”

“It’s okay to be stereotyped here (in Bollywood). If audiences want to see you that way, definitely you can’t take that away from them. So you have to give them what they want to see.

“At the same time you have your own creative juices flowing as an actor and you decide that you want to do something different. So you need to keep a balance,” she added.

Bipasha was present at the trailer launch of her upcoming horror film Alone, that shows her dishing up “never-seen-before” horror.

“It is going to be my boldest film that I have ever done till now,” Bipasha said.

“It’s a passionate love story. It is definitely a horror genre and will scare you, but it revolves around a love story... a love story between a man, a woman and a ghost,” she added.

Further talking about her choice of roles, the 35-year-old said: “I want to do films that give me roles that excite me and entertain the audiences, and something new to do and that’s it. That’s the way I look at it”.

Directed by Bhushan Patel, Alone features Bipasha as conjoined twins alongside TV star Karan Singh Grover.
