A galaxy of stars will dance to the greatest hits from the Hindi film industry at the South Festival Bay in Dubai Festival City Mall, tonight for the Dabangg: The Tour-Reloaded live concert.
Dubai witnessed a very different side of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan last evening while he was promoting the tour during a media event at Palazzo Versace hotel. He was joined by his Hindi film industry co-stars Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Daisy Shah, Sonakshi Sinha, Guru Randhawa and Manish Paul.
In the room full of hundreds, a young girl noticed what most couldn't - Salman Khan quietly scribbling in his notepad while talking to the media.
When she asked Salman, "What are you doing on your notepad?" the star first joked and asked her where is her media badge. He then laughed and gave her the piece of paper in which he was drawing what looked like a human face.
Throughout the Press conference, he was also busy passing plates of dates from his table to young kids sitting on the front rows. The Dabangg superstar also kept signing autographs for his young fans while his co-stars were talking to the local media. He even promised one young girl that he would dance with her on the stage during Da-Bangg concert.
Salman also revealed that they have many new additions for the UAE concert. Jacqueline Fernandes will be doing belly dance, which is an exclusive act for the UAE audiences. When asked about cross-border peace and love between India and Pakistan and whether the concert will ever reach Pakistan, Salman said, "Insha-Allah".
Katrina Kaif was a little bit disappointed as she fractured her toe while shooting for the movie Bharat recently.
However, she said despite her injury, she has a few exciting acts in plan as she does not want to disappoint her fans.
"I will be doing a mix of few things. I will be doing some romantic acts and will participate in the final act. I am also planning a few things with Manish Paul. It breaks my heart that I can't perform at the level that I normally put in for my shows. But I did not want to miss the opportunity to come in here and be part of the whole concert in whatever capacity that I can."
Salman, who is one of Katrina's friends and frequent co-stars, insisted that the actress is so dedicated to her work that there are chances that "she would even perform with her one working leg".
Salman's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma will open the show with his dance performance.
Around 20,000 fans are expected to fill the concert venue. After entertaining the Indian diaspora in London, Hong Kong, Auckland, Melbourne, the US and Canada, the tour is finally coming to the UAE tonight.
Tickets are available at dubai.platinumlist.net.
