Biopics are fast gaining popularity in Bollywood and several film-makers are attempting movies based on the life events of iconic personalities. Let's see some of the best biopic Hindi movies which are still remembered.
Neerja

"Neerja" is the story is based on the life of Neerja Bhanot who was shot dead by terrorists when trying to save 3 children in hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi on 5 September 1986. The aircraft was carrying 361 passengers and 19 crew members.

Mary Kom

Mary Kom is a biographical film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role as the eponymous boxer, with Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa in supporting roles as her husband and mentor respectively. The film depicts Kom's journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo.

This gripping Indian-British film relates the true story of Phoolan Devi, an Indian woman arrested in the state of Uttar Pradesh in January 1983 for kidnapping and murder.
