S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion released in the UAE a day before it hit the screens in India and across the world. However, the story in the UAE, as compared to the rest of the world, is slightly different. Many families here are upset that they haven't been able to see the movie because of the certification it got in the Emirates.
Parents say they will be forced to not watch the film set in the Mahishmati kingdom because their kids are barred from watching the film. Yes, the movie has a 15+ certification.
The second part of Baahubali has shattered records across India. According to trade experts, it has garnered over Rs4 billion at the box office in its opening weekend worldwide. Co-producer Karan Johar tweeted: "Historic Weekend! Here is the Hindi language all-India Friday (Rs 41 crore), Saturday (Rs 40.5 crore), Sunday (Rs 46.5 crore). Grand total Rs 128 crore."
The story of Baahubali was incomplete because the answer to why Kattappa killed Baahubali was not revealed in the first part. So, it has become all the more important to watch the second part. There is a huge expectation and interest in the film, not just from regional section but across India and foreign audiences.
Reportedly, we heard some cinema halls in Sharjah and Ajman are allowing kids below ages of 15 to watch the film accompanied by their parents.
